Cookie policy

What are cookies?

Small text files your browser keeps so a site can remember something between visits. We use few, all from our own domains: no third-party script or cookie runs on ECMS Pro pages. What we send to Google or Meta with your consent is sent from our servers.

Without cookies

  • Performance: we measure how fast a sample of pages loads, with no cookie or identifier, and keep only aggregated figures.
  • App preferences: the system keeps the interface language, digit style, dark or light mode and density in your browser’s local storage (ecms.prefs), on your device only.
  • Center device settings (essential, on center addresses only): a reception computer’s browser keeps its settings in local storage (ecms.pos.terminal: receipt paper size, beep, automatic printing, full screen and scan timings), and ecms.cards.layout keeps the chosen student-card print layout. Neither holds personal data.
  • Duplicate-payment protection (essential, on center addresses only): if the connection drops while a payment is being recorded at the reception screen, the browser keeps that attempt’s key and details in session storage (ecms.pos.unconfirmed) until the system confirms it, so the payment is never recorded twice. It is cleared when the tab is closed.
  • Signup: the signup session token lives only in the page’s memory and is never stored.
