Recitation, homework, exams and the results link
Recitation and homework
Both are on by default under “Center settings” → “Marks”: “Recitation mark” and “Homework mark”, each with a “Maximum mark” (up to 1000, 10 by default). Every recorded mark keeps its own maximum, so a change applies to new marks only.
On the session register each student gets “Recitation” and “Homework” boxes. Type the mark and press Enter or ↓ to move to the next student. Arabic-Indic and Western digits both work. Absent or excused students take no marks, and typing a mark for an unmarked student checks them in.
Ratings
Excellent from 85%, very good from 75%, good from 65%, pass from 50%, weak below 50%. Averages are the sum of the marks over the sum of the maximums.
Exams
- The group’s page → “Exams” → “New exam” (or “Exams” in the menu, then “New” and pick the group).
- Enter the exam’s name, date and maximum mark. You can choose “Create in all your groups of the same subject and grade”; each group gets its own score sheet.
- On the exam sheet, type each student’s score or choose “Absent”, with a note if you like.
- Press “Publish results” so students and parents can see them. You can “Unpublish” at any time.
Students and parents see no result before it is published. Assistants enter exam scores too, and you can change their permissions under “Roles & permissions”.
The results link
Every student has a private results link that opens without signing in. It shows, for each subject and teacher, attendance, recitation, homework, published exams and the latest sessions.
- The student’s page → “Marks” → “Results link”: copy it, or “Open the link”.
- “Create a new link” stops the old one at once, so earlier messages no longer open the results page.
Sending marks on WhatsApp
Once the session register is saved, each present student’s row shows a “Guardian” link and a “Student” link (the student’s only when they have their own mobile number). After an exam’s results are published, sending is offered on the exam sheet. The “Send the next one” bar walks through every unsent message, one tap each. See “WhatsApp messages to parents”.
